But then so is some five year-old girl in a pink wig, so what does it really mean?

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER FORGETS REAPER IS A TV SHOW: “ABORTION WAS LEGAL 21 YEARS AGO AND, TO A LOT OF PEOPLE, PREFERABLE TO BRINGING FORTH A CHILD PLEDGED TO THE DEVIL.”

“‘REAPER’ ENJOYS TERRIFIC SATANIC SUPPORT,” SAYS DAILY VARIETY

daily-variety.jpgFrom the look on Bret’s face, we’re guessing Ray Wise forgot the order of events in the old “pull my finger” bit. Or maybe he was just getting into character. He is the devil, after all. Click here for the story.

BRET FINISHES SECOND TO ZACHARY LEVI… AGAIN (SIGH)

usa-today-bret.jpgThis past weekend, Bret appeared on the cover of the USA Today Weekend edition (along with Chuck’s Zachary Levi and Pushing Daisies’ Lee Pace) as one of the “best new stars of the TV season.”

Under the subheading, “Most Likely to Be Breakout Stars,” Bret was voted #2 by an All Star team of entertainment reviewers representing the 5 major U.S. television markets (Los Angeles, Denver, Milwaukee, San Jose and Columbus). Lee Pace was voted #3, but it was Bret arch-nemesis Mr. Zachgrrrrrrrrrrry Levi who took the top spot. (For those of you who don’t know, Bret finished second to Zach for the lead role in Chuck before being offered Reaper.)

But the Levi winning streak ends there.

BRET HARRISON NOW INDELIBLY LINKED TO ZACH BRAFF

eonline-totally-tube-icon.jpgE!online picked Bret as one of its Top 5 Newbies. If it wasn’t for the image of John C. McGinley talking down to Bret that tickles our minds every time we read E’s headline, we’d take offense to the use of the “newbie” tag. Have these people never seen Grounded for Life (currently in syndication and on DVD) or The Loop (currently available on DVD)? Bret’s been on primetime television for 7 straight years. Whatever. Here’s the interview. It’s pretty good, actually.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY PICKS REAPER AS THE SHOW YOU’LL OPEN TO IF YOU TRY TO RIP OUT THOSE REALLY THICK ADS

ew-cover-picking-reaper.jpgEntertainment Weekly released its annual Fall TV Preview issue and the results are in:  Six nights of original programming. Seven shows spotlighted. Only three of which are new. And only one of those three got a whole night’s spotlight to itself: Reaper.

That’s right, not only was Reaper an “EW Pick,” but it was also the show they selected as the one to watch on Tuesday nights.

The link above takes you to an online-only excerpt of the article. For the full version, featuring a ton of Bret quotes, you’ve got to snatch up a printed copy of the issue. It’s got a 4 page spread on Reaper, 2 of which are a sweet photo of Bret having a nice little BBQ with Ray Wise (The Devil) and what we can only assume are the sons of Cerberus.

BRET TELLS TV GUIDE: “I THINK THE DEVIL’S MARINATING ME.”

reapertvguide2.jpg

This is just one of the awesome Bret quotes that appear in TV Guide’s “Fall Hot List” spotlight on Reaper. Unfortunately, it appears the actual Hot List is only available in the print edition (which is worth checking out both for the interview with Bret and Ray and the badass cast photo).

If the above pallet teaser from the culinary enigma that is Bret’s brain wasn’t enough to send you scurrying to the newsstands before they tear off the covers and send them back to the recycle plant, maybe this one will be:

“When I was a kid, my favorite animal was a pink flamingo.”

In the meantime, you can go here to check out world renowned television critic Matt Roush’s picks for the new season. Guess which show made his top three (we like to think in no particular order)?
